埃塞俄比亚贸易部出台了124项国家强制性标准(CES)并要求产品据此进行强制性测试和符合性确认。凡是向埃塞俄比亚出口管制产品的出口商，在装运前须取得符合性COC证书，以证明所进口的产品符合ESA（Ethiopian Standard Agency，埃塞俄比亚标准机构）的相关技术法规和标准。进口商在埃塞俄比亚进口清关时需要提供符合性证书原件。如有需要，埃塞俄比亚海关将留存电子版复印件。
